About DadHood Life

Hey there! I’m Khamees Yunus, and if you’ve ever found yourself negotiating with a 3-year-old over why we can’t wear pajamas to a wedding, or why “blue” is a flavor but “broccoli” is a crime—you are in the right place.

I started DadHoodLife.com because, while there are a million “Mom Blogs” out there, I noticed a gap. Where were the dads? Where was the guy talking about the messy, loud, hilarious, and sometimes exhausting reality of raising a child in 2026?

Why I’m Here (And Why You Should Be, Too)

I’m a father to a high-energy, brilliant 3-year-old girl. She is my world, my greatest teacher, and the reason I haven’t slept past 6:00 AM in three years.

I’m not a “parenting guru.” I don’t have a PhD in child psychology. What I do have is boots-on-the-ground experience. I know what it’s like to:

  • Try to stay “gentle” when the living room is covered in flour.
  • Search for “low-stim” games because the singing plastic toys are driving me crazy.
  • Figure out how to be a present father while balancing a career and a side-hustle.

What You’ll Find on DadHoodLife

This isn’t a place for “perfect” parenting. It’s a resource for Active Dads who want to lead with heart, humor, and a little bit of rugged durability. On this blog, we talk about:

  1. Screen-Free Adventures: How to explore the world with your kids.
  2. Modern Dad Gear: Reviews of things that actually last (and aren’t just pink or blue).
  3. The Emotional Side: Navigating tantrums, discipline, and the bond that matters most.

Thanks for stopping by. Grab a coffee (or a cold one), and let’s figure out this “Dadhood” thing together.
